said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether the Government have received any information as to the proceedings of the Parliament of Canada upon the Resolutions respecting the acquisition by Canada of the territory of the Hudson's Bay Company, which Sir George Cartier and Mr. Macdougall recently gave notice of their intention to submit to it?

MR. MONSELL

said, in reply, that the Government had received the Resolution which had been introduced into the Canadian Parliament respecting the acquisition by the Dominion of the territory of the Hudson's Bay Company, but had received no account of the subsequent proceedings.
