said, he would beg to ask the Secretary State for the Home Department, Whether it is the intention of the Government to bring in a Bill for the better regulation of the "Metalliferous Mines," in accordance with the recommendations of the Mines Commission?

MR. KNATCHBULL-HUGESSEN

said, that the subject had received the full consideration of the Government, and though he was not prepared to say that a Bill was in actual preparation, he hoped that legislation on the subject would not be long postponed.
