said, he wished to ask the Chief Secretary for Ireland, Whether the Government have received official information of a riot last night in the City of Londonderry?

MR. CHICHESTER FORTESCUE

said, in reply, that he had received a telegram confirming the statement in the papers respecting a riot last night in the City of Londonderry, which resulted in the loss of two lives, but it added no- tiling to the information contained in the newspapers.
