said, he would beg to ask the Postmaster General, Whether the Bremen Company have made arrangements with the Post Office to land the Mails from New York at Plymouth?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

said, he had to state that the arrangements for the transmission of the mails from the United States to this country, including the landing of them, were made by the United States Government, and Her Majesty's Government had not received any intimation that it was the intention of the United States Government, or of any company in their employ, to land the mails at Plymouth.
