HC Deb 16 March 1868 vol 190 c1679
MR. DAWSON

said, he wished to ask Mr. Attorney General for Ireland, Whether, in the present defective state of the Laws for the Recovery of Small Debts in Ireland, the Government intend to propose Legislation with a view to the amendment and extension of the present Law?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (MR. WARREN)

said, in reply, that it was not the intention of the Government to propose legislation on the subject this Session. He understood, however, that there was a Motion pending in the other House for the appointment of a Select Committee to inquire into the matter.
