HC Deb 09 March 1868 vol 190 c1221
MR. HARVEY LEWIS

said, he wished to ask the First Commissioner of Works, Whether he expects that the works now in progress in the basin of the Ornamental Water in the Regent's Park will be entirely completed before the summer; and, if he does not, then, whether he is confident that they will be so far completed as to prevent the offensive mud from causing danger to the health of the neighbourhood?

LORD JOHN MANNERS

, in reply, said, he had every reason to believe that the works in progress would be completed before the commencement of summer. He had taken every precaution to prevent danger to the inhabitants or offensiveness to the neighbourhood.
