HC Deb 25 November 1867 vol 190 c164
MR. MONK

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether he is prepared to state what course Her Majesty's Government propose to take with a view to carry out the Recommendations contained in the First Report of the Ritual Commissioners? At the same time, he wished to state that he was sure the public would hear with satisfaction that the Commissioners had re-commenced their sittings, and that they intended to sit twice a week. ["Order!"]

MR. GATHORNE HARDY

said, he was not prepared to state that Her Majesty's Government had decided upon the course it would take. Neither it, nor anybody else was in a position to do so, for he did not think that the Commissioners had yet sufficiently reported on the subject.
