MR. DARBY GRIFFITH

, in reference to the persecution of Jews in Moldavia, said that it appeared that the unfortunate Jews had been expelled by the Moldavian authorities and transmitted across the Danube, he presumed, into Turkish territory. The Turkish authorities threw them back upon the shores of Moldavia, and in the struggle that took place, two of them were drowned and several injured. He wished to know, Whether the Foreign Secretary could give any information upon the subject?

LORD STANLEY

said, that he was not prepared to state off-hand the circumstances, but he had no objection to lay all the papers relating to the subject upon the table of the House.
