§ MR. GATHORNE HARDYIn consequence of a letter the hon. Gentleman addressed to me yesterday, I have made inquiry on the subject, and I find that the Poor Law Officers state they are not in possession of materials necessary to enable them to furnish the Returns. The few Returns which have come in are so imperfect in many respects that they are of no use whatever.
