said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, Whether he will take into consideration the case of those soldiers now serving who were enlisted for a longer period than twenty-one years, with a view to giving them the advantage of the terms of enlistment under the Bill of this Session.

, in reply, said, he had not as yet thought it right to make the change suggested by the Question of the hon. and gallant Member, but he would make inquiries into the matter.
