HC Deb 04 June 1866 vol 183 c1794
MR. WARNER

said, he would beg to ask, What are the intentions of the Government with regard to the lease of the Cavalry Barracks at Norwich, which would expire shortly?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

said, in reply, that it was intended to give up the barracks at Norwich, because the troops which were formerly quartered in them could be accommodated in the new barracks at Colchester. The lease expired that day, and the premises would be forthwith handed over to the Dean and Chapter of Norwich, to whom they belonged.
