said, he rose to ask the President of the Board of Trade, If he will consent to the appointment of a preliminary Select Committee, composed of Members of both Houses of Parliament, to consider and report upon the various Railway schemes affecting the city of Dublin, such Committee to be nominated in the same manner as that which has been recently appointed to consider and report upon the different Railway projects affecting the Metropolis?

in reply said, the Government had no intention of proposing such a Committee as that referred to by his hon. Friend.
