HC Deb 22 May 1862 vol 166 cc2025-6
MR. HENRY SEYMOUR

said, he wished to ask the hon. Member for Belfast (Sir Hugh Cairns), Whether it is his intention to proceed with the Marriages (Ireland) Bill; and, if so, whether he intends to propose any modifications of that measure?

SIR HUGH CAIRNS

said, that at present the Bill stood for progress for Wednesday next, when he trusted it would progress in Committee. If the hon. Gentleman would be good enough to specify his objections to the measure, he (Sir Hugh Cairns) would give them his best attention.
