§ SIR CHARLES WOODin reply said, he had received no official information whatever upon the subject. He had heard from private letters that there appeared to be a disposition for some movement on the part of the Mohammedan population; but the Government were aware of what was going on, and they did not consider that there was the slightest cause for apprehension.
