MR. VANSITTART

said, he would beg to ask the Secretary of State for India, Whether a Deputation of the Indigo Planters has not recently waited upon the Governor General, and, if so, whether any and what Orders were issued in consequence of their representations by the Governor General; and whether he has any objection to produce Copies of those Orders, and of any other Correspondence and Papers on the subject?

SIR CHARLES WOOD
