SIR GEORGE LEWISstated, that the grounds upon which he recommended that the payment should not be made in the parish in question were that the proportion 199 of the Government property, compared to the rest of the rateable property of the parish, did not appear to him to bring them within the rule which the Treasury applied to those cases.
