§ MR. DILLWYN moved a Resolution that the Chairman be directed to move the House, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to amend the Law respecting Endowed Schools. He did not intend on that occasion to make any statement as to the nature of the Bill, except that he had carefully considered the arguments of the Opposition last year, and had modified the Bill in a way which, he hoped, would render it more generally acceptable. If allowed to introduce the measure he did not intend to press the second reading for a month or six weeks, 163 so that the House might have full time to consider it.
