said, he wished to ask, Whether Superintendents and Inspectors of the Metropolitan Police are subjected to any, and what, examination previous to their appointment?

MR. CLIVE

said, that the Superintendents of Police were not subjected to any examination whatever, and that they received their appointments from the Commissioners.
