HC Deb 07 March 1859 vol 152 cc1349-50
MR. NICOLL

said, he wished to ask the Under Secretary for the Home Department if it is the intention of Government before Easter to bring in a Bill to amend the Law in respect to Beer-Houses and places of public entertainment.

MR. HARDY

replied that it was the intention of the Government to bring in a Bill on the subject.

MR. WALPOLE

said, that there was a Notice in his name relative to a Bill for regulating Beer-Houses and preventing disorderly conduct in other places of Public Resort. He should not now bring it on himself; but the Secretary of State (Mr. S. Estcourt) who had undertaken the task, concurred with hire on the subject.
