HC Deb 09 June 1859 vol 154 c192
MR. SCULLY

asked the Attorney General for Ireland when he will lay before the House his promised Bill or Bills to improve the law of Landlord and Tenant in Ireland, and to secure compensation for improvements to evicted tenants?

MR. WHITESIDE

said, he promised last Session to bring in a Bill relating to the law of landlord and tenant in Ireland as soon as the House had dealt with two Bills which he had introduced relative to judgments in Ireland, and to the management of estates by receivers appointed by the Irish Court of Chancery. It was his intention during the present Session to pursue the same course with regard to those Bills, and his right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer had promised to allow him to introduce the two Bills in question on the first Government night after that on which the financial statement should be made.
