§ LORD ELCHOsaid, he believed it would be more in accordance with constitutional practice that he should bring forward, on a Motion for a Committee of Supply, the Resolutions of which he had yesterday given notice, with respect to the policy pursued by the late Government upon the Italian Question, than that he 537 should introduce them on a Tuesday. He wished, therefore, to state that he would bring forward his Motion on Monday next, or on the first supply day that might follow.
§ MR. SPEAKERsaid, that the noble Lord having fixed a day for his Motion could not bring it forward at an earlier period.
§ LORD ELCHOsaid, he would then give notice that he would bring it forward on the first Supply night after Tuesday.
