LORD STANLEYsaid, the narrative of the proceedings of the North Australian Expedition had already been printed. The geographical notes had been communicated to the Geographical Society, by whom he believed they had been published. The notes on botany had been sent to Sir William Hooker; those on geology to Sir Roderick Murchison, and those on the other portions of natural history to the Natural History Department of the British Museum; but he was not aware that any arrangement had been made for their publication.
