§ MR. COLLIERsaid, that having understood the right hon. Gentleman the Chancellor of the Exchequer to say, upon a former occasion, that it was his intention to propose, on next Wednesday week, certain Resolutions relative to the government of India, he was anxious to ask the right hon. Gentleman when Her Majesty's Government intend to lay upon the table of the House the promised Resolutions relative to the government of India. It was obviously desirable that they should be placed in the hands of hon. Members as soon as possible, in order to afford them an opportunity of considering them before they became the subject of discussion.
THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUERThe Resolutions to which the hon. Member refers will certainly be laid on the table of the House at the latest on 1193 next Monday, and I trust they will be in the hands of hon. Members on the same day.
