THE COMPTROLLER OF THE HOUSE HOLD

(Lord CASTLEROSSE) appeared at the Bar, and read Her Majesty's answer to the Address of the Commons on the Affairs of India:— I thank you for your loyal and dutiful Address, and for the assurance of your cordial support in any measures which I may consider necessary for the suppression of disturbances in India, and for the permanent establishment of tranquillity and contentment in that important portion of My Dominions.
