§ SIR JOHN RAMSDENsaid, that an Order to the effect stated by the hon. and gallant Member had been issued, but that it did not rest with the War Department to decide anything upon the subject, inasmuch as it was prescribed by Schedule A of the Property-tax Act that all houses belonging to Her Majesty, excepting the Royal Palaces, should be assessed to the property-tax, which was to be paid by the occupier.
