HC Deb 06 July 1857 vol 146 c966
MR. SALISBURY

said, he would now beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty if he will lay on the table of the House copies of all correspondence which has passed between the Admiralty, the authorities of the city of Chester, and other parties in the counties of Chester and Flint, since 1840, respecting the state of the river Dee?

SIR CHARLES WOOD

said, he had no objection to lay on the table such parts of the correspondence as the hon. Member desired. That correspondence, however, had gone on for the last sixteen years, and it was undesirable to entail upon the country the cost of printing the whole of it.
