HC Deb 18 December 1854 vol 136 cc486-7
VISCOUNT DRUMLANRIG

reported HER MAJESTY'S Answer to the Address of the Commons, as follows:— YOUR loyal and dutiful Address has afforded Me much satisfaction. I THANK you for the assurance of your support in the measures which I consider to be necessary for the vigorous prosecution of the War in which We are engaged. And I trust that the result of your exertions and sacrifices may, under the Blessing of the Almighty, be the establishment of the Peace of Europe on a secure and lasting foundation.
