§ SIR G. GREYreplied, that the Act passed during the last Session of Parliament for creating a Bishop of Manchester, provided that no addition should be made to the number of Lords Spiritual.
§ MR. URQUHARTsaid, that was not an answer to his question. He wished to know whether it were the intention of the Government to advise Her Majesty, in the exercise of Her undoubted prerogative, to call the Bishop of Hereford to the House of Lords.
§ SIR G. GREYIt is not the intention of Her Majesty's confidential adviser to recommend Her Majesty to increase the number of Spiritual Peers.
