HC Deb 19 February 1844 vol 72 c1106
Viscount Ebrington

wished to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department—whether it were the intention of Her Majesty's Government to bring in a measure during this Session on the subject of Turnpike Trusts?

Sir J. Graham

said, that it was the intention of the Government to bring in a measure of that description. The subject had been brought under the consideration of the Commission to inquire into the disturbances in South Wales. The Government expected the Report of that Commission in a very short time, and he thought that it would be of great advantage that they should see that Report before the measure was brought in.
