HC Deb 09 June 1843 vol 69 cc1298-9
Sir A. L. Hay

asked whether it were the intention of her Majesty's Government to introduce any measure in the present Session to regulate the settlement and endowment of quoad sacra ministers in Scotland, and whether it were intended to ask any grant of public money for the purpose of such endowments?

Sir James Graham

said, that it was the intention of the Government in this Session to bring in a bill for the purpose of better supporting large parishes in Scotland, and for facilitating the endowment of ministers, but it was not intended to make any application to Parliament for any grant of money for that purpose.
