HC Deb 05 April 1843 vol 68 c471

Upon the motion for reading the order of the day for the second reading of the admiralty lands bill,

Mr. Gill

begged that this bill, which had been of the Table a very short time, should be postponed. He had some objections to the compulsory clauses of the bill.

Mr. S. Herbert

begged that the second reading might be now take pro forma, and any discussion which might arise might be taken on going into committee. He would fix a late day for the committee.

Bill read a second time.

House adjourned at five o'clock.
