HC Deb 01 June 1842 vol 63 cc1056-7
The Speaker:

I have to acquaint the House that her Majesty has been attended this day by both Houses of Parliament with their address, to which her Majesty was graciously pleased to return this most gracious answer:— My Lords and Gentlemen; I receive with heartfelt gratification this loyal and dutiful Address from my two Houses of Parliament. I am thankful to the Almighty, whose merciful care has protected Me and the Prince my beloved Consort. I humbly rely on this good Providence of God, who is able to save Me from every danger; and firm in this trust, and sincere in My desire to promote the happiness of My People, I am comforted and supported by the renewed assurance of your attachment to My Person and Government."
