§ Mr. Roebuckbegged to ask the hon. and learned Attorney-general, when he thought it likely that the bill, of his intention to introduce which he had given notice, relative to the amendment of the Municipal Corporations Act, would be printed? Great anxiety existed in reference to this subject, which he thought it would be desirable to calm.
The Attorney-Generalsaid, that he proposed to bring in the bill on Monday next. He begged to be allowed to state, that there was some difficulty in reference to the terms of its provisions, as to the protection to be given to proceedings already in progress. He had received various communications from different parts of the kingdom upon the subject, to which, and to the suggestions contained therein, he was anxious to give his consideration.
