Mr. Pakington

reported to the House that the select committee appointed to try the matter of the petition presented by John Cobbold, and others, against an undue election for the borough of Ipswich, had resolved that the chairman be instructed to issue his warrant for the committal of J. Thurston to the custody of the Sergeant-at-Arms for having been guilty of wilfully giving false evidence in his examination before them.

Ordered that J. Thurston be committed to the custody of the Sergeant-at-Arms to await the further orders of the House.
