Sir Augustus Clifford, gentleman usher of the black rod, appeared at the Table, and summoned the House to the House of Peers, to hear her Majesty's most gracious Speech.

The Speaker, followed by the Members present, immediately went to the House of Peers, and on his return, read a copy of her Majesty's Speech, and acquainted the House that Parliament was prorogued till Thursday the 24th day of October next.

The House separated.
