HC Deb 12 February 1833 vol 15 c561

The Speaker read his Majesty's Answer to the Address of the Commons, as follows:— I thank you for your loyal and dutiful Address, and rely with confidence on your determination to support me in maintaining inviolate the Legislative Union between Great Britain and Ireland; and you may be assured, that, in exercising the powers of Government to suppress all acts of insubordination and violence, I shall feel it my duty to assist you in applying such remedies as may be required for removing all just grounds of complaint in every part of my dominions.
