§ The Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod appeared at the 136 Table, and, in his Majesty's name, commanded the attendance of the House of Commons at the Bar of the House of Lords The Speaker, attended by a numerous body of Members, proceeded to the House of Lords, to hear the Speech from the Throne, and after being absent about twenty minutes, returned and resumed the Chair.
