§ Mr. Goulburnsaid, that at so late an hour, and so perfectly conversant as hon. members must be with the grounds upon which his present motion was brought forward, he should not detain the House with any statement of the reasons that induced him to submit it, but should simply move, "That a sum, not exceeding 100,000l. be granted to his Majesty, for the Employment of the Poor in Ireland, other purposes relating thereto, as the exigency of affairs may require.—"—Agreed to.
