Definition

• Fifteen committees made up of local agricultural workers nominated by their union Unite and agricultural employers nominated by the National Farmers’ Union. The committees could grant permits to trainee or disabled workers, exempting an employer from paying them the full statutory minimum wage, and make other exemptions. They were closed in December 2013.
