Definition
  • From April 2011 various discretionary funds and programmes aimed at helping benefit claimants move into and remain in work were abolished and replaced by the Flexible Support Fund. There is no exhaustive list of items or activities FSF may pay for, but examples could include training allowances, travel costs to enable a person to undertake training or attend a job interview, and one-off needs such as new tools.
