Definition
- Proposed by First Minister in 2004 following the announcement that several arts and culture NDPBs would be merged with the NAW. The Board will be chaired by the Minister and will comprise the Chairs and Chief Executives of the Arts Council, National Library of Wales and National Museums and Galleries of Wales. It will also include representation from the WLGA and Welsh Books Council. Its remit will be to set the overall strategic direction for the cultural agenda in Wales, including oversight of the preparation of a new Culture Strategy.
