- From the 1 April 2007, the 19 Northern Ireland HSS Trusts were merged to become six Health and Social Care Trusts. NHSCT provides a range of hospital and community-based health and social care services across ten council areas in Northern Ireland: Antrim, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Carrickfergus, Coleraine, Cookstown, Larne, Magherafelt, Moyle and Newtownabbey, and to Rathlin Island.
