Definition

• A civilian force and part of the Ministry of Defence. Set up as an Executive Agency from 1 April 1996. From 1 April 2004 merged with Ministry of Defence Guard Service to become Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency. In 2013 became a standalone force again with the disbanding of the Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency.
