Definition
- Signifies the Speaker's opinion of a bill's provisions (e.g. Money bills for the purposes of the Parliament Acts) or of the provisions of bills, specified motions and instruments that in whole or in part affect England, England and Wales or England, Wales and Northern Ireland only. From January 2019 the Speaker may also grant proxy voting for new parents, Members who are about to give birth and those who have suffered miscarriages.
