1902 — 2nd May 26 Majority for Closure of Debate

(1) That Questions for the Closure of Debate under Standing Order No. 25 shall be decided in the affirmative, if, when a Division be taken, it appears by the Numbers declared from the Chair that not less than One Hundred Members voted in the Majority in support of the Motion.

1907 — 16th April 27 Majority for closure

(1) Questions for the closure of debate under standing order "Closure of debate" shall be decided in the affirmative, if, when a division be taken, it appears by the numbers declared from the chair, that not less than one hundred members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1919 — 19th February 27 Majority for closure

(1) Questions for the closure of debate or selection of amendments under standing order "Closure of debate" shall be decided in the affirmative, if, when a division be taken, it appears by the numbers declared from the chair, that not less than one hundred members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1948 — 28th April 27 Majority for closure

(1) Questions for the closure of debate under standing order "Closure of debate" shall be decided in the affirmative, if, when a division be taken, it appears by the numbers declared from the chair, that not less than one hundred members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1960 — 2nd November 30 Majority for closure

(1) A question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 29 (Closure of debate) shall not be decided in the affirmative, unless, when a division be taken, it appears by the numbers declared from the chair, that not less than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1971 — 21st January 32 Majority for closure

(1) If a division be held upon a question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 31 (Closure of debate) that question shall not be decided in the affirmative unless it appears by the numbers declared from the chair, that not less than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1971 — 24th November 31 Majority for closure

(1) If a division be held upon a question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 30 (Closure of debate) that question shall not be decided in the affirmative unless it appears by the numbers declared from the chair, that not less than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1982 — 21st December 31 Majority for closure

(1) If a division be held upon a question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 30 (Closure of debate), that question shall not be decided in the affirmative unless it appears by the numbers declared from the chair that not less than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1985 — 23rd May 32 Majority for closure

(1) If a division be held upon a question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 31 (Closure of debate), that question shall not be decided in the affirmative unless it appears by the numbers declared from the chair that not fewer than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1986 — 25th March 32 Majority for closure

(1) If a division be held upon a question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 31 (Closure of debate) or for the proposal of the question under Standing Order No. 14A (Powers of chair to propose question), that question shall not be decided in the affirmative unless it appears by the numbers declared from the chair that not fewer than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.

1997 — 19th March 36 Majority for closure or for proposal of question

(1) If a division be held upon a question for the closure of debate under Standing Order No. 35 (Closure of debate) or for the proposal of the question under Standing Order No. 28 (Powers of chair to propose question), that question shall not be decided in the affirmative unless it appears by the numbers declared from the chair that not fewer than one hundred Members voted in the majority in support of the motion.
