On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays- |

(a) |
if at any time after four o'clock on the House being counted it shall appear that forty Members are not present, the business under consideration shall stand over until the next sitting of the House and the House shall stand adjourned; |
||||
(b) |
the House shall not be counted between half-past seven and half-past eight o'clock or after ten o'clock; but if during either of those periods it shall appear, on a division, that forty Members are not present, the next business shall be taken. |

On Fridays- |

(a) |
if at any time after one o'clock on the House being counted it shall appear that forty Members are not present, the business under consideration shall stand over until the next sitting of the House, and the House shall stand adjourned; |
||||
(b) |
the House shall not be counted between a quarter-past one and a quarter-past two o'clock; but if during that period it shall appear on a division that forty Members are not present, the next business shall be taken. |
||||
If it shall appear on a division that forty Members are not present, the business under consideration shall stand over until the next sitting of the House and, subject to the provisions of paragraphs 1(b) and 2(b) of this Standing Order, the House shall be counted. |

The House shall not be counted during the proceedings on any Consolidated Fund Bill or Appropriation Bill, or during proceedings in the course of which Mr. Speaker is directed to put forthwith any question. |
