1948 — 28th April Any member of a standing committee may act as temporary chairman of the committee when requested by the chairman of the committee, provided that it shall not be for more than one quarter of an hour. Paragraph (5) of standing order No. 47 shall not apply when a temporary chairman of a standing committee is in the chair.
