<p>The Fraud Strategy, published earlier this month, set out our approach to improving the criminal justice response to fraud.</p><p>We are creating a National Fraud Squad with 400 new specialist fraud investigators to investigate and disrupt more fraudsters.</p><p>We have committed to assess the impact the additional posts have made and to undertake a new independent review into the challenges to investigating and prosecuting fraud.</p><p>We have also updated the Strategic Policing Requirement to give greater prominence to fraud at local force level.</p><p>In addition, we are improving the support victims receive by replacing Action Fraud.</p>
