	answer text	<p>The revised Code of Practice for Victims of Crime was published on 29 October 2013 and will come into force in December 2013. It will require the police to appoint a suitably trained professional to conduct interviews with victims in a way that considers their needs and views and takes into account factors such as the need for a registered intermediary to help them to communicate their evidence effectively.</p>
