	answer text	I do not believe it necessary to bring EU seafarers in scope of Directive 96/71/EC. I am content that the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, which is being implemented in Europe through a Social Partners Agreement in Directive 2009/13/EC, sets global standards for the protection of seafarers living and working conditions, including provisions relating to annual leave and employment.
